If very small broadband mirrors with dimensions of only a few millimeters are needed then gold coated GaAs chips are appropriate.
A single crystalline GaAs wafer as substrate for a reflecting gold layer has a very smooth surface and a good
thermal conductivity of 55 W/(m*K). It can be cutted into small quadratic or rectangular chips.
Gold mirrors can be used as broadband reflectors for wavelengths > 800 nm.
The reflectance increases continuously with increasing wavelength.
We provide unmounted gold mirrors with a standard substrate thickness of 450 µm
